Education
Cuba takes pride in its commitment to excellence in education. The public school system is fully accredited by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). Cuba supports a multipurpose sports complex adjacent to the high school.

The University of Missouri at Rolla, 22 miles from Cuba, is nationally renowned for its engineering and mines/metallurgy departments. They offer four-year and post graduate degrees in engineering, mines/metallurgy and liberal arts.

The Rolla Area Vo-Tech School provides courses in air conditioning, drafting, radiology, respiratory therapy, data processing, carpentry, welding, diesel and auto mechanics and agriculture. The school also develops customized training programs for businesses in the Cuba Industrial Park.

The East Central Junior College near Union, 38 miles from Cuba, offers two-year degrees in liberal arts.

Holy Cross Catholic School offers K-8 education.

Viva Cuba
The Viva Cuba Beautification Committee was formed in 1985 to complement the industrial development effort in Cuba. It serves as the hub of the community betterment effort, with representatives from civic groups, city officials and business leaders.

Viva Cuba's projects have included banners along the highway for Viva Cuba and various holidays, annual Beautification Day, tree planting and beautification of the Industrial Park and the Christmastime illumination of 2,000 trees lining Highway 19.
