Education
Cuba takes pride in its commitment to excellence in education. The public school system qualified for the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's performance distinction award, based on it's academic achievement during the last school year (2008-09). Cuba supports a multipurpose sports complex adjacent to the high school.
The Missouri University of Science and Technology at Rolla, 22 miles west of Cuba, is nationally renowned for its engineering and mines/metallurgy departments. They offer four-year and post graduate degrees in engineering, mines/metallurgy and liberal arts.
The Rolla Area Vo-Tech School provides courses in air conditioning, drafting, radiology, respiratory therapy, data processing, carpentry, welding, diesel and auto mechanics and agriculture. The school also develops customized training programs for businesses in the Cuba Industrial Park.
The East Central College near Union, 38 miles east of Cuba, offers two-year degrees in liberal arts.
Holy Cross Catholic School offers K-8 education.
