Parks and RecreationAt the other end of town, the city built the Cuba Sports Complex, with two new lighted ball diamonds and additional playgrounds. City leagues are formed for everything from T-ball to mixed-league softball. Golf can be played at Cuba Lakes Country Club - public welcome.
Within minutes of Cuba, enthusiasts can thrill to rough-water rafting, boating, swimming and some of the best fishing in the world. Hunters stalk quail, turkey and deer in the endless area woodlands.
Maramec Spring, famous for its trout fishing, attracts fishermen from throughout the country. Just up the road is Onondaga Cave State Park where visitors can marvel at the stalactites. Dillard Mill, a restored grist mill, delights visitors with a page out of yesterday. The Lake of the Ozarks is less than two hours from Cuba. |
